Raised in the West Indies, this California born woman developed a passion for taking
pictures through the nurturing of her Fine Art abilities. Growing up in Barbados, Kathleen
McDonald always had enthusiasm for many of the arts but excelled most greatly in the Pictorial
Fine Arts and Photography. In leaving Barbados to study at San Jose State, McDonald carried
her keenness for photography with her and decided to double major in Pictorial Art and Fine Art
Photography.
Kathleen currently resides in San Jose and works on freelance and personal projects.
She also participates in community art showings. Her personal work is greatly inspired by
her memories of the Caribbean and her West Indian heritage. She also attributes many of the
concepts of her work to the culture shock she went through when first moving back to the United
States.
McDonald’s personal projects are primarily collections, and consist of primarily,
portrait, self portrait, and food themes. She also does freelance work for musicians, and concerts
and works in both digital and film. McDonald is currently not showing in any galleries, but
hopes to have some exhibitions in the coming months.

I gotta give much respect to the new heat out of Cali, Nipsy Hussle. Although from what I have heard he is no where near my favorite rapper, I do feel he is taking a raw provocative approach in what he is bringing to the rap game. Yes, his lyrics are dirty, grimmy, and sometimes foul, but you can't deny the raw truth that he paints of the streets. I'll be looking forward to hearing more from this cat in the future....

Onaje is a Hip Hop artist from the Bay Area in California, the name Onaje, given to the artist at birth, is Nigerian for “the sensitive one.” Onaje gets his inspiration to write lyrics from a wide array of subjects from the desire for self-improvement, an urge to give people a feeling of enjoyment to the ups and downs of everyday life. Always staying true to the core values of what Hip Hop originated from. Onaje’s musical inspirations span over all genres of music including jazz, classical, pop, rock, R&B soul and of course Hip Hop. Onaje has competed and won several rap and poetry competitions, performed at a number of live shows across the country and completed two full length studio albums. He has been writing and performing most of his life. An alleged cousin of Blues Legend Muddy Waters and coming from a family were almost all his relatives play instruments or sing, you could say music runs threw his blood. One of the artists’ goals is to outsell the Beatles and to break music records throughout every genre worldwide. Onaje has a global perspective on the world which is prominently reflected in his music. Onaje is working on his third solo album, “Only Time Will Tell,” with beats by his older brother S.O.D.A aka State of da Art. Onaje will be doing shows and performing at venues around the Bay Area distributing promotional items up until the unknown release date. He plans to continue to perform live; self distribute his music, and send demos to record labels. Always willing to work with other talented artist, Onaje will continue to collaborate and give the world great music.

Rappers Raw-G and Steelo, both born and raised in Mexico, Notorious for their out of the ordinary flow, raw poetry and deep lyricism that reflects their struggle in life and a revolutionary state of mind. Also known for their high energy stage performance that captivates the most diverse audiences. The Oakland California based Hip Hop group has been a part of the Bay Area music scene as well as the international Hip Hop community, drawing attention from mainly Spanish speaking countries. They have participated in music festivals such as The International Hip Hop Exchange,San Francisco Pride and had performed with artist such as KRS One, Killah Priest (Wu-Tang Clan), Mala Rodriguez (Spain), Siete Nueve (Puerto Rico) among others. Hailing from Passaic New Jersey, Venomous 2000 The Utlra Emcee epitomizes real raw hip hop. His flow reminds me of a blend of Zumbi's (Zion I) creativity and Tek's (Smif n Wessun) swagger and word play, with a similar nasally voice that pairs to both of them.
